A comprehensive guidance counseling program is available for students in grades 6-12. Small-group and individual counseling services are available to assist students in creating an individual education plan. Students receive assistance on evaluating their current status and requirements for graduation, as well as developing and implementing their college and/or career plans. Social Work services
Social work services at the Academy for Business & Technology are aimed at helping students address social, emotional and behavioral challenges, enabling them to function successfully in their educational, home and community environments.
School social work services are provided to both special education and general education students. Social work services include individual and group counseling, assistance in locating community resources such as health and dental clinics, and referrals for food, clothing and transportation assistance in the community.
AAA Michigan’s School Safety Patrol Scholarship Program - 4/15/17 deadline $1,000 scholarship awarded to four graduating seniors in the state attending a Michigan public, private or charter school. Must show documented proof of AAA Michigan School Safety Patrol participation in elementary or middle school, good academic standing and a strong record of involvement in the community and/or extra curricular activities. A personal letter of introduction must be included describing community and extracurricular activities and what being a Safety Patroller meant to them. Pick up an application in the Counseling office. Only one application can be submitter per school. Letter, application & proof are due to ABT Counseling office by April 15, 2017. (Children & other relatives of AAA Michigan employees, officers & board members are not eligible) MCO Scholarship - $500 - 1 award - 5/15/17 deadline Student Eligibility: A) Be attending college or university no later than December of 2016. B) Be attending college or university on a full-time basis by December of 2016. C) Submit an answer to the essay question no later than 11:59 PM EST on May 15, 2017. D) Be currently in your last year of high school or a freshman, sophomore, or junior in college/university

Not sure where, or even if, you want to go to college? That's ok. You will need to complete the FAFSA to receive other loans and scholarships. If you don't think you can afford to go, think again. Visit the Department of Education's Financial Aid Help Site. or call 1-800-832-2464 FAFSA PIN Registration Students and parents should apply for a PIN. It takes approximately 5 minutes to apply for a PIN and around two days to receive your PIN via email. Once you receive the PIN by email, be sure to copy the PIN as it will be erased from the server once you exit for security purposes. You will also receive a letter from the Federal government with a copy of your PIN number in approximately one week. Apply for your pin at: www.pin.ed.gov
