Michigan requires all high school students to participate in at least 40 hours of community service. In just about every case students will be able to obtain the required 40 hours in school projects and field trips. There are trips planned to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, Gleaners and other agencies. Outside of school community service can be awarded for church activity, baby sitting and other activities. If students have questions about whether an activity is acceptable, they should talk to the school counselor.
